Step 1
Mail us your ECU
We make shipping easy: We send you the shipping label for UPS Next Day Air at phenomenal rates. Just drop it off at any UPS access point.
You'll receive the shipping label during our normal M-F, 8-5 Central business hours.
Not sure if it's locked? An AutoTuner Tool will tell you. Some cars have two ECUs so you'll need to purchase an unlock for both. If we require the case to be opened, we'll let you know!
Step 2
We'll unlock it and mail it back
Our trained professionals run each ECU through a secure, proprietary unlocking process. The exact methods are confidential as revealing them could risk future manufacturer lockouts.
All AutoTuner USA unlocks are unlocked same day in the USA and we don't physically modify the ECU. We ship it back next UPS Next Day Air.
We process ECUs during normal business hours: M-F, 8-5 Central.

Here's what most people are asking.
At check out we'll calculate shipping, which includes shipping the ECU to us and back to you. We use UPS Next Day Air in the USA and UPS World Wide Saver for international orders. We get phenomenal rates and pass the savings to you.
Where is my shipping label?
You'll receive the shipping label in your email during our normal M-F, 8-5 Central business hours. It may take a moment to hit your inbox while we process orders each morning and evening. Make sure to check the junk or spam folder, just in case.
How do I package the ECU?
Securely package the ECU(s) in a small box no larger than 14" x 13" x 6" and use the label emailed to you. If you send an AirTag, make sure you tape it to the ECU so it doesn't get lost in the box.

Do NOT reuse shipping boxes that display any hazardous material markings. UPS automatically scans packages for hazardous material indicators. Boxes with these markings may be rejected, returned, or DESTROYED by the carrier. Do NOT use boxes with: Hazard diamond labels, Lithium battery labels, UN numbers (UN####), Limited Quantity or Dangerous Goods labels, or Words such as: acid, aerosol, alcohol, battery, biohazard, butane, chemical, combustible, compressed, controlled substance, corrosive, dangerous, diesel, drug or drug name, explosive, ethanol, fire, flammable, fluid, fuel, gas, gasoline, hazardous, hazardous material, hazmat, infectious, limited quantity, limited qty, lithium, li-ion, li-metal, LQ, medical, medicine or medicine name, needles, oil, organic, ORM-D, oxidizer, paint, peroxide, pesticide, poison, poisonous, pressurized, propane, radioactive, solvent, thinner, toxic, warning, or anything similar in any language.
Always use a plain cardboard box with no hazardous labels or markings, roughly 14" × 13" × 6" in size.

For unlocks that support OBD, the AutoTuner Tool is guaranteed to be compatible. We can't guarantee all tools will be compatible, but we don't lock anyone out.
We're doing the unlock in house at our headquarters in the USA. Typically they are shipped back the same day we receive them. We process ECUs during normal business hours: M-F, 8-5 Central. We ship UPS Next Day Air in the USA, or UPS World Wide Express internationally.
Nope!
We need to protect the unlock method. Once it's known the unlock can get patched by the manufacturer and then everyone's locked out again. Secondarily, since this unlock method isn't really known, we have to take steps to protect the work.
